I'll sort that out for you then Huw. I've just made & eaten the paella and will let everyone know if the thing about not eating shellfish unless there's an 'r' in the month holds true. In the meantime though, it was delicious! |

For the rare Native Oyster, yes, but the common Pacific Oyster has no closed season. He just says to avoid in the summer - because the risk of infection from bacterial blooms is high. But with the weather we have been having it should be OK. Feral as in escaped cultivated (Pacific), rather than feral as in wild native. I should have been clearer, sorry! |
