Not a recipe (yet anyway, give me time!), more just a quick whoop de whoop as today, on the most appropriate day possible we found a good long strand of St Georges growing just inside the tree line of our local woods.

Mine havnt appeared yet this year, had a nice crop last year but didnt realise what they were. This year... nothing. Hopefully more luck when out with Steve tomorrow.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, although I suspect that it'll be after the weekend if it rains as predicted that you might find some flushes coming up.

I'm just pondering what to do with mine now. Had a few for breakfast cooked with the bacon & eggs and I may try them sauteed with ransoms as that's been recommended to me as good too. In the meantime if I manage to come up with anything particularly tasty I'll post it up.
