Hi Bard,

Good to see your diary up and running mate. Thanks for the great day bow making. I really enjoyed myself....... even though I was crap! haha.
You forgot to mention I managed to lose 5 arrows for a good half hour! I record even for me haha.

All the best,

Kim

used to be able to buy them for a good price on ebay but sadly no longer. Axminster tools is probably your best bet now. http://www.axminster.co.uk/category-Carving-Knives-and-Chisels-207918.htm

I shall be talking to Huw this week about another bow course/weekend.

I got mine here which I thought was a reasonable price as it included p&p: http://www.camelotoutdoor.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=82

Might be worth a look.

I thought so too.

Now all I need is one of your excellent tutorials on the proper way to keep them good and sharp (especially the crook knife, how in heck do you do that one?).

quick answer is wet n dry on a mouse mat. the mouse mat has just enough give to make the wet n dry form to the curve. then strop it length ways
