what sort of thing would you be looking for in an axe workshop? I am generally the "sharps" man so could possibly sort something out. |

well as the saying goes the pink things on the ground are fingers lol. just general skills to start with i know the very basics. but it is better as far as sharps go to be taught in a real situation than to learn by a book so to speak. and of course would be useful as i attend a retreat some years and the last time the Axe was so blunt that it would have had trouble cutting water let alone wood lol. axe carving would be a good addition to it as well. Plus i suppose i am itching to meet a few fellow bushcrafters in the local area i suppose it is a confidence thing and the passing of knowledge as well

The idea will be to have all weekend. You could come down on the saturday night, or the sunday morning. It wont be an official course - just an informal get together and sharing of ideas/skills. |

sounds cool to me. i live in maidstone so could walk down or catch a bus on the saturday afternoon. i am away 13th to 18th August........mind you having said walk i think it is about 12 miles from where i live to Egerton. and as soon as funds allow like when i get paid next month will subscribe to the mag and have in mind a few pieces for it on the lore and mythology of trees etc
